Holiday information on Agia Napa, Cyprus

Away from the beaches and nightclubs, Ayia Napa has a number of local attractions. Take a relaxing stroll around the old, picturesque harbour and watch the many colourful fishing boats head out to sea. Alternatively, why not take in the 'Palaces'? This is a set of bizarre rock formations that pepper the coast between Limnara Beach and Cape Greco and are well worth a view.

Once a sleepy fishing village, Ayia Napa has grown into a lively holiday resort that never sleeps! It's now a world-renowned clubbing capital that attracts top DJs and is a must for those looking for an action-packed, fun-fuelled break away. Ayia Napa is a friendly resort that delights young sun-worshippers and sports enthusiasts alike. Situated 45km east of Larnaca, it's a bustling, often noisy, resort.

Ayia Napa is home to some of the best beaches in Cyprus. Its main stretch, Grecian Bay, is a crescent swathe of golden sand that shelves gently into the calm waters of the sea. Here, you'll find a wide variety of watersports on offer such as water-skiing, wind surfing, jet-skiing and scuba diving. Head west from the harbour and you'll find Nissi Beach, and beyond that, Makronissos Beach. The rugged coastline of Ayia Napa, with its bays and coves comprising silvery white sand lapped by crystal clear waters, is a joy to discover...so explore and enjoy!

By day Ayia Napa's large main square is an excellent spot to people watch - set yourself down is a shady corner with a cool, refreshing drink and let the world go by. Once the sun sets, the square fills up with stalls that sell jewellery, pottery and leather goods. Also, look out for the Lefkara lace that's beautifully embroidered. The rest of Ayia Napa offers a large number and variety of shops for all of those holiday essentials.

Famed for its nightlife the world over, Ayia Napa is a clubber's paradise. The town's streets simply overflow with colourful discos, cutting edge nightclubs and umpteen bars. Most venues offer either karaoke, international DJs or big screen sport. One thing's for sure, with so much going on you'll never be at a lose end in Ayia Napa!
